So keep the words of this covenant to do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.
Deuteronomy 29:9Tony Evans uses this verse to teach that the covenant that God makes with us is for our benefit. God will honor every promise that he has made and provide every resource we need to serve Him.

We are destroying arguments and all arrogance raised against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5Paul is writing to the Corinthian church about their fleshy struggles. We still personally and corporately struggle with own flesh and the hindrances that come from others.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.

John 11:39Father, sometimes I allow "stones" to come in between me and being able to see Your will fulfilled in my life. I ask for Your forgiveness when this happens and that You remove every "stone" I have allowed. I want to see Your will as it unfolds.

So they were willing to receive Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.
John 6:21This takes place as the disciples were fighting a rough sea in the dark and Jesus appears walking. When they see Him and He enters the boat the storm ended. This happens to us today as sometimes we venture out into the troubled world without the presence or direction of Jesus, but as quick as we realize our mistake, He comes to us and calms the storm in our life.

Job 26:7Job was trying to describe outer space without having any such knowledge and he described it accurately. We don't always need to understand everything related to God's ways to just accept in faith that He is sovereign over all.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.
John 10:27-30The importance of this verse is that we have been chosen personally by Jesus as one of His sheep and He will continue to care for us now and eternally.

James 1:25Sometimes we question God especially when troubles come. As He grows me spiritually, I have learned to be more content in times of trouble and able to enjoy His blessings.

Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior and you are learning to follow Him and disciple others.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16This act of rescue directed toward us is the key to our opportunity to once and forever be forgiven through grace and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. God's acceptance of our repentance and asking Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Savior seals our present life and future eternal life with Him.

Be aware of the situation that God is presenting for your service.
But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men."
Acts 5:29This seems in sharp contrast to 1 Peter 2:13 but highlights that there are times when we must reject authorities and choose the Biblical path and what God commands.

Acceptance
God is calling and you have accepted His call. You care for people.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9Now we discover our calling and the source of our desires to please Him. With our recognition and commitment, we proclaim the Gospel to the world.

Obedience
You are voluntarily following Christ in a ministry of reconciliation.
Now then let the fear of the Lord be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the Lord our God will have no part in unrighteousness or partiality or the taking of bribes.
2 Chronicles 19:7Fear God means to reverence Him, humbly submitting to His Lordship, praising Him for His awesomeness, and being careful to follow all His commands.

Identification
Recognizing the inner needs of others and looking for ways to serve them.
You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me.
Exodus 20:5This is a warning straight from God about our allegiances — they must be to Him alone and we must remain faithful to our creator and our everlasting and loving Father.
